Extra Trousers

We often have customers asking us whether purchasing an extra trouser is a good idea when they’re getting their new suit made up.Though it’s generally a good investment to get an extra trouser – you never know when your original will get damaged or stained – there’s a number of factors that are important to consider, including your body type and how often you wear your suit.Men with larger thighs or frames may be well-advised to get an extra trouser. Often they are harder on the pants which leads to increased wear and holes at the top of each pant leg.Trousers also need rest – after a day’s wear trousers can become damp from sweat causing the wool fibres to ween. By having an extra trouser made you’re able to alternate each pair, increasing the life of both trousers. It’s also a good idea to buy an extra trouser given trousers wear out at a faster rate compared to the suit jacket, extending the life of your suit. Down the track you could buy another trouser for the suit, sure. But there’s no guarantee we’ll still have your cloth available two or three years later, meaning your trouser won’t match your suit jacket. If you’re still not convinced, visit us in-store to see a sample of our cloths for yourself.
